Only three of the five members of SS501 are active now, the other two are busy filiming.Due to two of the members' busy schedules, Jungmin performing in a Korean production of the musical "Grease" and Hyun Joong filming a drama, SS501's album, originally due for release in late 2008, was to be pushed back to July 2009. Instead, a subgroup SS501 was formed. They initially wanted to use Triple S as their group name but gave up the idea because they think that they are 5 members always as 1 no matter what, so they continued to release a special project album U R Man (released on November 25, 2008) under the name of SS501.
The three (members of the subgroup) also had a cameo in the fourth episode of Boys Over Flowers as performers in a club, singing "U R Man". Finishing their promotional activities for 'U R Man', they went on to promote '내 머리가 나빠서 (Because I am stupid)', a song they sang for the OST of 'Boys Over Flowers'. This song is very well-received due to the success of the drama. They won the "Song of the month (Feb)" award with this song at the 32nd Cyworld Digital Music Awards (28 Mar 09) with about 110,000 downloads for BGM at www.cyworld.com.
The original group, with all five members, is scheduled for a comeback in August 2009. They will have their First Asia Tour from Aug'09, which includes countries like Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, etc. Two Asia Tour Concerts has been confirmed, 01 Aug & 02 Aug in Seoul and 13 Aug (1pm & 7pm) in Tokyo. SS501 will hold a fanmeeting in Taiwan on 28 Jun and HongKong on 01 Jul prior to their Asia Tour.
But recently, after doing some deeper research into this group of boy band. I realised my favourite member is not Kim Hyun Joong, but another member after all.
He is the type of guy I like most, something I would want my other half to look like. Guess which of them is the one? (Hint: Those who know me well know I prefer adorable guys over handsome ones) Have fun guessing then(:
Recently, I found a website whereby they provide free mock examination test papers with detailed solution. It's a HK website, so the papers are of HK standard of course. Surprisingly, Hong Kong Certificate Of Examination(something like Singapore's O Level) has POA and such too. In fact, HK has many other more subjects offered which Singapore does not have at all.
Their standard of Maths in HK is somewhat like that of here, but I realised their E maths paper consists mostly of questions from A maths syllabus. I have hence decided to focus more time on my A maths. By the way, Mr Loh said despite me failing my MYE A maths, I could still continue on to take the EOY one. But I must perform very well to continue my A maths in sec4. So I shall practice lots of Matrices, Logarithms, Linear Law and such. I must pass my A maths by EOY, I want to take A maths for O level. I have discovered my love for mathematics by now. Do not be surprised if by the end of the June holidays, all I ever remember is laws of logarithms and rules of partial fractions!
It still amazes me that maths can exist in the form of Chinese. Even though I am born in HK, but I never really received any education there, unless you count nursery. Thus, for some queer reasons, my English is far more better than my Chinese. In fact, English is my best subject. Don't you find it weird for someone to be from Chinese background excelling in English but not Chinese. Maybe I miss HK alot, so naturally Chinese reminds me of HK, to make me less unhappy my body automatically shield me from any interest in Chinese. Hence, Chinese never really interest me, in fact to some extent, I hate Chinese.
